Jackson Securities

Jackson Securities, established in 1987 by the late Maynard H. Jackson, is a full service investment bank that provides a broad spectrum of investment banking and brokerage services to clients throughout the United States.  Jackson Securities’ majority owner is the Atlanta Life Financial Group (“ALFG”) the largest, minority, and stock-owned insurance company in the nation.

ALFG was founded in 1905 by former slave turned entrepreneur, Alonzo F. Herndon.  An indomitable entrepreneur, Herndon was a real estate investor, a world traveler, an amateur architect, a pillar of black Atlanta, and a true historic figure in American Black History.  Jackson Securities’ founder, Maynard Jackson, was the former three-term Mayor of Atlanta, and the first black mayor of a major southern city.

With the addition of Jackson Securities, Atlanta Life provides a full-service, minority-owned, financial services company integrating corporate reinsurance, asset management, and investment banking.  In recognition of this historic partnership, in 2008 Black Enterprise Magazine named Atlanta Life Financial Group as “Financial Services Company of the Year.”

Jackson Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA and maintains nine additional offices in strategic markets nationwide: Chicago; Dallas; Los Angeles, Miami; New York City, Red Bank (NJ), San Francisco, and Stamford (CT).
